Stop waiting for permission to TELL YOUR STORY.
I'm a fiction writer and editorial coach who works with early to mid-journey writers who are querying, editing, or trying to find their way back to the page. My services blend kind, honest critique with practical coaching rooted in lived experience. I believe in those who dare to live a creative life and I help them find their voice, shape their stories, and navigate the writing journey with confidence.
I'm a published author and single mom raising two little boys in the heart of the South Carolina Lowcountry—a place that's as much part of me as the stories I tell. I'm also a biracial Filipina American, a fiction writer, and a mentor who believes every writer deserves to feel seen and supported.
I started writing seriously in high school and went on to earn my B.A. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, followed by an MFA in fiction, and a Master's in Library and Information Science. My short fiction has been published in Owl Hollow Press and Short Story America anthologies. My longer work has been praised by literary agents, Big 5 editors, and writing contests like Voyage YA. In 2022, I was honored to be named a Tin House YA Scholar.
When I'm not editing, coaching, or writing my own books, you'll find me working as a school librarian, spending time with my children, reading, playing guitar, walking through cemeteries, sipping strong coffee, or exploring the hidden corners of the South. I believe in stories from the heart—and in helping writers find their voice to tell them.
